Principal
Hello,
I am Mr. Craig Day and I am the principal of Jefferson Elementary School. My goal is to lead and encourage students to strive to do their best and be successful in life. I am a native Jefferson County resident. I have lived here my entire life and was a student at Jefferson Elementary School! After attending Jefferson Elementary School and Jefferson Middle School, I graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1992. I attended Carson Newman College where I graduated in the spring of 1996 with my Bachelor of Arts degree in education. I started my teaching career here at JES in the fall of 1996 and taught 5th grade until 2007. I received my Master’s Degree in Administration from Lincoln Memorial University in 2007 and began my career as an administrator in 2008 at Maury Middle School. I came to be principal here at JES in 2012 and I am blessed to be a part of the JES family.
