Book Buddies Fundraiser 

Book Buddies Are Here at Our School!

We are excited to kick off our SchoolStore Book Buddies Fundraiser! Through this fun program, students can earn adorable Ice Age Wildlife Book Buddies while helping support our school.

Students will bring home a special Book Buddy lanyard to share with their families. Family members and friends can participate through the SchoolStore program, and their support can also provide Caring for Classrooms gift cards that teachers can use to purchase books, classroom supplies, STEM resources, printables, educational materials, and more.

Students who participate can earn one of several fun Book Buddies, including Nibbles, Rusty, Dewey, Luna, Shelldun, Ranger, Scooter, and Fang!

Every participation helps make a difference, and we are excited to see which Book Buddies our students bring home!

More information will be sent home with students on September 9th. Be on the lookout for your child’s Book Buddy lanyard!

We are excited to celebrate College App & Exploration Week! Throughout the week, our students will have opportunities to begin thinking about their futures, explore different career possibilities, and learn how the choices they make today can help prepare them for success in high school, college, career training, and beyond.

Our School Counselor lessons will focus on student success, goal setting, and encouraging students to dream big about their futures. We also invite all students and staff to join in our fun dress-up days throughout the week!

-Monday – Bright Futures Day: Wear bright colors because our futures are so bright!

-Tuesday – Interview Day: Dress for success by wearing an outfit you might wear to a job or college interview.

-Wednesday – School Spirit Day: Show your school pride by wearing our school colors and gear!

-Thursday – College Colors Day: Wear a college T-shirt or the colors of your favorite college or university.

-Friday – Support Our Seniors Day: Wear gear or colors from your local high school as we cheer on our seniors preparing for their futures!

We look forward to a fun and meaningful week of helping our students understand that their future starts today! Dream big, set goals, work hard, and explore all the amazing possibilities ahead! 

5th Graders Explore Creativity Through Hands-On Arts and Crafts

Our 5th-grade students recently enjoyed an exciting hands-on learning experience with Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts at The Rose Center in Morristown.

Throughout the experience, students participated in five different art and craft groups. In woodworking, students created spatulas using rasps, sandpaper, and drills. During ironwork, they experienced working with a forge while creating their own keychains. Students also created birds through needle felting, designed animal pots using clay, and made rings and bracelets during jewelry making.

This experience gave our students the opportunity to explore different forms of art, work with new tools and materials, develop new skills, and express their creativity through hands-on learning.

We are grateful to Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and The Rose Center for providing our 5th graders with such a unique and memorable educational experience!
